Offline
Translation that works fully offline.
Speech recognition and translation happen on your iPhone, using the language models already installed on the device. You don't need a connection to translate: Live Translate also works in airplane mode or where there is no signal.

GeoFix doesn't download models. If a language isn't listed, its models are installed from the iOS settings.

Voice
Hear the translation in your headphones.
With headphones connected, GeoFix reads the translation aloud while the text stays on screen. Keep your eyes on the person speaking and go back to the text whenever you like.

Every translation appears on screen, with or without the voice. - Headphones only
The voice plays in compatible headphones, never from the iPhone speaker. Without headphones, Live Translate works in text mode. - The voice you prefer
Choose from the iOS voices installed for your language and try it in your headphones before you start.
The trail starts behind the church and reaches the lake in an hour.
Both directions
One conversation, both directions.
When it's your turn, tap “Swap languages”: GeoFix listens to you and translates into the other person's language, in the same conversation.
- Text for the person listening
In the swapped direction Live Translate switches to “Text only — audio off” and shows the translation on the “For the other person” card, in large type, ready to turn towards whoever is in front of you. - Back to voice whenever you like
“Restore voice translation” brings back the original direction, with the translation in your headphones again. - Every turn keeps its languages
In the conversation each sentence keeps the direction it was translated in.
You decide when to change direction: swapping is a command, not voice detection.

Export the conversation as a text file, with original and translation or with the translation only. - The previous one stays
When you start a new conversation, the earlier one stays available as “Previous” until you start another. It is deleted only when you choose to.
